Company Statement

Total Quality Services, Inc.

Licensed by The State of Georgia as a  Electrical and Conditioned Air Contractor.

As Professional Tradesmen, we are dedicated to the need for modern and up to date codes addressing the design, repair and installation of our trades. During the course of repair and or replacement, we are required by law to update electrical and conditioned air systems to comply with current codes as adopted by The State of Georgia.

What is The Code?

The Codes are a series of manuals addressing the design, repair and installation emphasizing performance known as  The International Electrical Code, and The International Mechanical Code. These codes are adopted by the state and are designed to adequately protect public health, safety, and welfare.

What is a Permit?

All replacement appliances and certain system modifications are required by The State of Georgia to have a permit issued by the local authority having jurisdiction. It is a requirement to perform inspections on permitted work. We encourage Inspection by local authorities to ensure your repair or replacement has been performed in compliance with local and national codes to provide a safe complete project.

When should I replace my Air Conditioner or Furnace?

Air Conditioning Units and Furnaces produce work equivalent to driving a car approximately 80,000 miles per year. Most experts agree properly maintained equipment should have a life expectancy of approximately 12 years. Heat Pump Systems operate year round producing about twice the amount of work, therefore creating a shorter life expectancy of approximately 8 to 10 years.

Why should I Invest in a Preventative Maintenance Plan?

Would you drive your car 80,000 miles without changing the oil?Protecting your system with a Maintenance Program will ensure long lasting safe efficient operation for your family. An extensive study conducted by The University of Texas on the operation and maintenance of heating and cooling systems concluded that improperly maintained equipment reduced the efficiency rating of the equipment by an average of 20%. This 20% decrease in efficiency calculates into a 25% increase in household utility bills. Also, this research estimated an average of a 20% decrease in the life expectancy of the equipment with a measurable increase in breakdown and system failure.Regular maintenance is a condition of all equipment manufacturers. All manufacturers recommend operational testing prior to seasonal operation to ensure safe equipment operation.
